Facilitators and Trainers

The OzHelp foundation is seeking individuals passionate about mental health and wellbeing, who thrive on making a difference in someone’s life to join our team as one of our Facilitators, with community services and supporting mental health experience.

We are seeking an engaging and highly-relatable facilitator who can seamlessly step into a room and connect with our audience. Our primary participants work in high-risk and hard-to-reach industries, including tradies and truckies. As the ideal candidate, you possess a versatile skill set, allowing you to connect with and manage various energy types. Most importantly, you excel at creating safe and captivating spaces where participants feel comfortable sharing and opening up.

This position will be required to travel regularly.

The Essentials

  • At least two years’ experience in delivering training sessions to large groups
  • Working with Vulnerable People card
  • Current relevant state/territory driver licence
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Australian health system including policies and issues relevant to mental health and suicide prevention reforms in Australia
  • Australian citizenship or ability to work in Australia
  • Must be able to travel nationally and regularly.

Ideally you will also have;

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/ or Mental Health or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the building and construction or transport and logistics industries.
  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) or ability and willingness to obtain.
  • Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
  • Construction Industry White card, Silica and Asbestos training, or ability and willingness to obtain.
