FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: 23 November 2017
SIA and OzHelp partner to support workplace mental health
SIA and OzHelp’s alignment of philosophies in health and safety have brought them together as new strategic partners.
OzHelp’s new ‘Workplace Tune-Up’ is an innovative physical and mental health online screening tool that provides business leaders and employees with immediate health and wellbeing results, evidence based benchmarks and personalised recommendations that are accompanied by immediate WTU generated support channels including prompted responses from OzHelp registered nurses, wellbeing coaches with links to respective EAP providers.
The WTU will generate for employers an industry benchmarked easy to read de-identified report, that provides a snapshot of the overall health of employees to inform, identify and evaluate wellbeing strategy activities.
The program is endorsed through funding by Australian Government Department of Health, Several State Governments, Nutrition Australia, and the Heart Foundation.
OZhelp’s CEO, Tony Holland said “We look forward to exploring the many ways of working with the SIA over time with the common purpose of saving and improving lives in Australian workplaces.”
“In the case of the workplace tune-up tool we have federal funding for high risk industries and these correlate well with the focus of the SIA.”
SIA CEO David Clarke said ‘we’re pleased to join forces with an advocate in health and safety. We will work closely with OzHelp to support businesses in providing workers a healthy wellbeing business culture.
