Suicide Intervention and Training Programs
ALERT is a 45-minute workplace health and wellbeing support program to increase awareness and understanding about mental health, resilience and suicide prevention.
Conversations for Life (C4L) is a Half-day suicide prevention workshop for everyone interested in keeping others safe and connected. It offers practical ways to reduce the risk of suicide before it becomes a crisis, and is part of the Lifeboat, an integrated suite of uniquely Australian suicide prevention training programs.
Strengthen for Life (S4L) is a One-day program addressing imminent risk of suicide. S4L provides participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to identify and support people who are at imminent risk of suicide. The course aims to increase participants’ capacity to respond to the imminent risk of suicide.
ASIST is a Two-day suicide intervention skills training program. Participants will learn to recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide and respond in ways that help increase their immediate safety and link them to further help. ASIST aims to enhance a caregiver’s abilities to help a person at risk avoid suicide.
Wellbeing Training Programs
Hard-Hat Chats are 10 minute presentations conducted onsite covering a wide range of topics inclding alcohol and other drugs, heart health, workplace stress, healthy eating, and mental health.
Wellbeing at Work ( W@W ) is a short 15-minute training program delivered at work, designed to assist people in understanding how they can improve their mental health and wellbeing.
